Inpatient Dual Diagnosis Treatment
When a person is affected by both mental health and substance abuse issues, they experience what is known as co-occurring disorders or dual diagnosis. Although they are two separate conditions, they interact in ways that make diagnosis, treatment and recovery more complex.
Wekiva Springs Center’s inpatient dual diagnosis program is designed to meet the needs of adults with co-occurring disorders. Treatment plans are individualized and based on a no-cost assessment provided by our multidisciplinary treatment team. We encourage patients to participate in the therapeutic process as soon as they are able, and offer them support throughout their inpatient stay.
Components of the Dual Diagnosis Program
- Intensive therapy
- Medication management
- Psycho-educational lectures
- Specialty consults as appropriate
